I am voting for Barack Obama because I am finally convinced that he shares the same philosophies, world views, intellect, and vision as my other favorite presidential candidate, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH).Viewing the race speech, and reading the Iraq speech (both of last week) tells me that this man is ready now, has broad analysis and recommendations on the issues that are front and center, and in fact represents the evolving human consciousness in this country. It is transcendental, and it#039;s right on time. I believe W represented the death rattle of "us v. them" thinking in citadels of power and might. Obama represents, in part through our projections upon him, the way to "we" thinking, and the living manifestation of the Christ consciousness, which for me is that "we are not alone." "We are all connected" then flows naturally from the first premise. As Norman Lear wrote and spoke during his Plenary talk at "Take Back America" America has had a form of "civil religion" which is at risk of being forever co-opted by the religious right. I believe that Obama has the potential to bring spiritual matters into his leadership in a way that America requires in order to continue to function. Paul, I share your concern about there being no posts to date. I was hoping to find an easy address where I could pick up some bumper stickers to put next to the Kucinich stickers. I think one of the consequences of the kitchen sink dregs in the campaign is that Obama supporters are feeling a bit disengaged right now.....that the "new" feeling of this campaign is being tainted by same old smear mongering. So let us get our bumper stickers; let us make our comments. Not much more effort is required to change a ripple into a wave.

I am reading "Dreams from My Father". The review that prompted me to purchase the book stated there was no other senator that could produce a comparable work - I believe that is true. I am concerned that Barack#039;s frustration with bigotry expressed in "Dreams" will be used by the likes of "Rush" and followers. Don#039;t forget - Bush was reelected. I intend to work for Barack#039;s election.Paul BlakeWhy am I the first to make a comment? That worries me.

Online Biographies:
1. Here is the internet's equivalent of a very long and detailed Barack Obama biography.
2. If instead you want the quick version, heres the fast Barack Obama bio that will get you up to speed.
3. A section for Barack Obama's wife Michelle Obama since she is so active in her husband's campaign.

Misspelled name:
His name is somewhat easy to spell wrong. Some of the most popular misspellings are Barak Obama or even Baraka Obama, Barac Obama, Barach Obama, and similar to the hilariously funny movie Borat is Borak Obama.
