I agree completely with Stephanie. Why do people go so negative in campaigning? And so personal? If someone disagrees with a policy, that is one thing, but attacking their character, their values, even their family ( a recent Sen. Clinton ad in the Milwaukee area), is just unacceptable. I would probably vote for Sen. Obama even if I didn't support his policies, which fortunately I do.

I am going to vote for Obama, just because I believe in him and that I haven't seen one negative add from him. I think that is plus in my book. Why must have all these negative adds anyway? I believe that if you don't have anything nice to say about someone then just shut up!! That's what I think. Am I worry in my thinking?

Terri, what are you 15 years old? That kind of thinking is exactly why this country is in the state it's in. People like you blindly voted for Bush because he used fear tactics...fear of our "enemy," fear of God, etc. I say you need to wake up, grow up and educate yourself and others about what's important. We really do need a change and I think Barak Obama can do what it takes to make positive changes happen. We're very lucky to have so many choices this election, but it's our responsibility to research all of the candidates and what they stand for so we make educated choices. We should never be so irresponsible that we make choices based on a name.

Why on earth would you want to have someone run this country with a name of: Barack Hussein Obama - His middle name should give it all away. They have a plan and it appears it is working. Your grammar, spelling, and thinking are atrocious and speak volumes to me as to exactly why you think Hillary is your choice for president. If you were at all an intellectual and really knew anything about the candidates and their positions, then you would be voting for Barack Obama.

Obama is most definitely charismatic and is skillful at defining who he is to the mes. I don't want to see him at the top of the ticket, though. It starts to feel someone contrived where Barack Obama is concerned.. as if it is only an amazingly skillful packaging (too good to be true). He is an amazing orator which is something that will give him an advantage over a number of the other candidates.
I while back, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to see Bill Clinton several times and he had the kind of charisma that was very believable and extremely effective. Surely this contributed to his popularity. His wife isn't nearly as effective as him, but she has improved over the years. Her speeches still sound wooden although the words given to her by some writer are well chosen. I don't understand why she hasn't gotten someone to coach her in that vital aspect of politics. My only guess is that she is really too busy doing what she is supposed to be doing to take time out for that.
I still prefer Hillary over Obama as a representative for the Democratic Party. I slightly also like John Edwards but felt that last time around he compromised some of what he stands for to share his ticket with Herman Munster.

As someone put it similarly before: it takes more than education and intelligence to be a good president. So check what the candidate stands for, how he has voted and ask yourself. Despite his"bestselling " book, does he really have OUR country's best interest in mind? Is he going to work towards that or simply join the Washington war machine?

I personally believe that Barack Obama has answered the big question as to whether he should run or not.. if he has a good shot or if he's wasting his time and energy. For example, what experience did Jimmy Carter bring to the Presidency in terms of an elective office background? What experience did Senator Hillary Clinton bring to the elective office of U.S Senator. Besides, we now have a President who is well advised, as will anyone who wins the presidency..and by the way speaking of experience, how come he had to ask if there are black people in Brazil?
I am positive that Senator Barack Obama brings as much to the table as anyone else. Himself being a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago, State Senator, Illinois, amazing community activist and currently a U.S Senator, well spoken and astute... I've got no problem voting for him.

Let's face it guys. Most of us Americans only choose a presidential candidate by there looks and their name. Most don't "have time" to dig deeper than look at the campain promises to find the real truth. I think Bush, Whom I Voted for, should be impeached and jailed. I myself want change and I'm Hoping that Hillary Clinton will bring Bill with her.I know I don't want to vote for another looser president. Right now, the last presidential mistake I made was enough for me and I feel guilty knowing I helped elect Bush. I want Bill Clinton back so I will Vote for Hillary. Barack Obama does seem like a nice guy on TV, but then again so did Bush.

I will say this specifically about Senator Obama if anyone cares. I sent 13 returning troops to him for help with VA benefits as promised, and he stood tall each of those heroes and they were taken care of. Senator Obama has helped veterans in this State everyday on the Veterans Committee. He pushed a homeless veterans bill and it ped with over 200,000 homeless Veterans every little bit helps. This Veterans of the United States of America will support him all throughout the elections!
