New again. We can be. Elistist monied folks, who would never dream of getting on the back of an untamed bronco. We can't let them have it. They claim America, but where is their heart? Elistist Texans, outside of our reach except by the vote. Change it. We deserve better. Bush equals recession and war. Let's move away from that noise.

I need to understand why the Obama campaign in Wyoming (and presumably elsewhere) thinks it appropriate to echo the infamous "Harry and Louise" ads against the Clinton health plan--ads that worked to put health care back a generation. There they are again: the white couple, budgeting over the kitchen table, accusing Senator Clinton of ripping money from those who "can't afford it." We have the same uptight white female, the same plaid-shirted white male. And we have them front and back of the flier to "Wyoming families," just in case we miss it. (If you want to see the original Harry and Louise, you can suffer through them at www.yout ube.com/watch?v =Dt31nhleeCg). Why is it a good idea--and why is it pure, hopeful, or above politics, to repeat such a disingenuous ad from the past? I am disappointed. This seems not just politics as usual, but politics republican style. If it works at all, it will work to prevent all health plans. We can do better.

I am disgusted by Mrs. Obama's comments re: Being proud of America for the first time in her adult life. Mrs. Obama must not have seen all of the good works that this country has done and the freedom that the USA has provided to millions of oppressed people. Apparently the only way that we can earn Mrs Obama's "pride" is if we agree that America's "soul is broken", that America is the problem and must be changed and if we agree to her husbands som and the taking of 800billion from productive tax paying citizens to be redistributed to Barack's supporters. Mrs. Obama, move to Cuba or Venezuela if that's the way you want to live.

Barack Obama : change we can believe in. It is only he who can build the momentum and take the country to another level. May God bestow his richest blessings upon him and his family

Obama is the best, I wish him to become president of USA. He is president of the Century.
However , since he is black I am not sure that some trick may be done against him. If there is a real democracy in America, he will be the winner.
God be with him.

You people are ridiculous! What does skin color have to do with a position in the government?! Just look at the many white people who have screwed up! Just look at how PEOPLE screwed up. Like many people, you sound like YOU are lost and can't find your way. You don't need to lead anyone... keep your opinions to yourself!

I read a while ago that Obama's dad left when he was an infant and his Kansas living mother raised him in Hawaii?
So anyways, that's quite a far cry away from African American culture any way you look at it. Hawaii? Kansas?

I'd vote for Obama. He's a real African American for one thing and some people have lived in American for 15 or so generations and still refer to a land where nobody knows or cares about them as their motherland(Mexi co, Italy, France, etc). Obama is a first generation American and African on his paternal side so he probably hasn't lost touch with his roots either. Isn't that important? Unless his roots are in Islamic Indonesia, where he step-father raised him.

What differance does it make with who runs for president? America has been sold out to the bush new world order and there's no turning back after Iran.

Obama is most likely the smartest man in politics right now. Why not have the smartest person in charge of the best nation in the world? We tried with an idiot for last 7 years and that obviously didn't get us anywhere. Let's give intelligence a chance in 2008!

So you ask, Why should Obama should run??? wellhere's my thoughts:
Obama himself says:
"We should p the stem cell research bill.(roughly Jun 2004)
We should protect woman's rights to choose. (in May 2004)
He supports Roe v. Wade.(Jul 1998)
He voted yes on the $100 million dollar bill to reduce teen pregnancy by education & contraceptives. (Mar 2005)
Included sexual orientation(gay , straight, bisexual) in anti-discrimina tion laws.(Jul 1998)
He voted no on and recommending Constitutional ban on flag desecration. (Jun 2006)
He voted no on a constitutional ban of same-sex marriage. (in Jun 2006)
Obama battles legislatively against the death penalty.(around Jul 2004)
Supports alternative sentencing and rehabilitation. (Jul 1998)
Voted YES on banning drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.(Mar 2005)
Believes health care is a right, not a privilege for the few.(Sep 2004)
Lead global fight against AIDS.(Jul 2004)
Voted YES on reauthorizing the PATRIOT Act.(Mar 2006)
Voted NO on extending the PATRIOT Act's wiretap provision.(Dec 2005)
He voted YES on restricting business with entities linked to terrorism.(Jul 2005) " - Ontheissues.org
That is why I think Obama would make a great canidate and a great president for the United States. He Will Have my vote for sure!

Online Biographies:
1. Here is the internet's equivalent of a very long and detailed Barack Obama biography.
2. If instead you want the quick version, heres the fast Barack Obama bio that will get you up to speed.
3. A section for Barack Obama's wife Michelle Obama since she is so active in her husband's campaign.

Misspelled name:
His name is somewhat easy to spell wrong. Some of the most popular misspellings are Barak Obama or even Baraka Obama, Barac Obama, Barach Obama, and similar to the hilariously funny movie Borat is Borak Obama.
