You're in a hurry, or just want to know the quick facts on Barack Obama, so without any delay, here is a very short bio for Barack Obama.

Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii, USA in 1961. His mother was caucasian and american, and his father was from Kenya. At the age of 2, they divorced and his father returned to Kenya to continue working in the field of economics. He was a very intelligent man who had been schooled in Harvard. Anyways, Barack ended up moving to Indonesia and lived with his mom and new stepdad while eventually coming back to Hawaii to finish high school in the states. Years later, he ended up graduating from Columbia University with a Political Science major specializing in international relations. After graduating from there, he continued his education at the prestigious Harvard Law School, graduating magna cum laude (basically at the head of his class, or with "honors"). This is where he become the first African American president of Harvard's Law Review group. When he finished school, he ended up working as a very amazing community organizer and civil rights lawyer in and around Chicago.

He taught at the University of Chicago's Law School, and during 1996 through 2004, he served in the Illinois State Senate representing Chicago's South Side. In 2004, he got elected to the United States Senate over the conservative republican black candidate Alan Keyes with over 70 percent of the votes. Barack Obama was the only serving black Senator, and only the fifth in the entire United States History. His great commitment to civil rights, idealistic thoughts, and charmingly good looks helped make his Senate Campaign. After his keynote address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention in 2004, he became known as one of the most inspirational and freshest new leaders of the democratic party.

Obama also published a book called "Dreams from my father" in 1995 and more recently "the Audacity of Hope". Both became best sellers fairly soon after being released.

Barack is married to Michelle Obama and also has two daughters named Malia Ann and Sasha. Barack Currently lives in the Chicago area and is becoming one of the major candidates of the 2008 presidential elections.

I have listened to both candidates ... and I believe that Obama will be the change that this country needs. Yes, when Bill was in office, we (the US) saw better times economically, nationally, internationally ... and I voted for him then... but, when you take away all the "press mess" and look at the issues.... where they both stand.. Obama is the ticket for me.
No one... no one is going to "fix" everything... or make all the decisions and choices that "you" want.... but to change the way America is headed "economically". .. to bring home our troops... to make sure our veterans of every war are taken care of and their families ... I honestly believe Obama is the right choice...

Judicial Watch Announces List of Washington’s “Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians” for 2007:
8. Senator Barack Obama (D-IL): A “Dishonorable Mention” last year, Senator Obama moves onto the “ten most wanted” list in 2007. In 2006, it was discovered that Obama was involved in a suspicious real estate deal with an indicted political fundraiser, Antoin “Tony” Rezko. In 2007, more reports surfaced of deeper and suspicious business and political connections It was reported that just two months after he joined the Senate, Obama purchased $50,000 worth of stock in speculative companies whose major investors were his biggest campaign contributors. One of the companies was a biotech concern that benefited from legislation Obama pushed just two weeks after the senator purchased $5,000 of the company’s shares. Obama was also nabbed conducting campaign business in his Senate office, a violation of federal law.

I never seen and heard of so many black american, speak ill of Obama, some say he is being set-up, some say he may be shot, and there are those who say he don't have a chance. I get so tired of hearing negatve comment about other black when they are successful. We as a race of people should be cheering Obama on it is our time for a Black President, with the help of amighty God.

tired of seeing the corrupt and oppressive get ahead at the cost of exploiting the poor and illigals.
make em legal and yer right the republicans will squirm.
i have a strong feeling that by bush saying "god" spoke through him that a holy war has 2 sides and bush made it clear the paranoid conservative had "God" on their side. it will be nice to have a normal president who is interested in the american public, not what god has in store for the few and the overly self rightous corrupt oppressive crooked lying warmongering republicans.
why dont you just enslave a few mexicans Alan, sounds like you want facisism back in fasion. leaders in this country should work for ALL of us, not just white bread texans with billions under their belts and trillions in overseas secret wars.
back to america, obama is our next president!

IT IS THE "WORKING CLASS" REPUBLICAN MENTALITY THAT KEEPS THE TRUE WORKING CLASS (SINGLE WORKING MOTHERS, INDUSTRIAL WORKERS, AND THE LIKE) OPPRESSED IN THE UNITED STATES. I AM NOT REFUTING THE FACT THAT SOMEDO NOT TO VOTE DEMOCRAT-- TO EACH HIS OWN. BUT ALAN MAKES IT SEEM AS IF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS ALL FOR SUPPORTING A CLASS OF PEOPLE WHO CHOOSE NOT TO SUPPORT THEMSELVES. YOU MAY NOT REALIZE IT, BUT THE CURRENT PLATFORM THAT OUR COUNTRY IS BEING OPERATED UNDER IS DESIGNED TO KEEP EVERYONE WHERE THEY ARE AT--- THAT IS RICH PEOPLE RICH AND POOR PEOPLE POOR. DO YOU REALIZE HOW MANY PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY LIVE BELOW THE POVERTY LEVEL??? DO YOU REALIZE THAT PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF WHO STRIVE TOWARDS SOMETHING BETTER FIND IT EVEN HARDER TO SURVIVE WHEN THE LITTLE ASSISTANCE THAT IS PROVIDED ISSTRIPPED AWAY WHEN TRYING TO BECOME SELF-SUFFICIENT ? TO ME, THAT IS A LOSE-LOSE SITUATION. ALL LIBERALS TRY TO DO IS TRY TO LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD FOR THOSE OF US WHO ARE NOT GIVEN CERTAIN OPPORTUNITIES FOR EDUCATION, EMPLOYMENT AND THE LIKE. REGARDLESS IF WE'D LIKE TO BELIEVE IT OR NOT, OUR SOCIETY IS NOTHING MORE THAN A MODERN-DAY CASTE SYSTEM, DESIGNED FOR SOME TO SUCCEED AND OTHERS TO FAIL. PERHAPS BARACK OBAMA CAN CHANGE THAT, AND THIS COUNTRY REALLY CAN BE THE FREE ENTERPRISE IT CLAIMS TO BE

I will not be voting for Obama or any other Democrat Liberal. The liberal policies are Sotic in nature and are aimed at the government providing all services to the populus and taking all incentives away from those of us who might be the producers in our society. I do not believe the working cl should be required to support the non-working cl and non-citizens. Welfare and government medical programs don't work anywhere. I see nothing wrong with helping someone on a temporary basis but not to provide their entire standard of living for the rest of their life.
Democrats believe we can reason with a people who are dedicated to eliminating our way of life. The Muslim religion has wanted to eliminate Christians since the Crusades and it will not end until the radical elements of that society are eliminated. You cannot reason with a people who are "commanded" by their "God".

I am from Barbados. I am not a American. I am so proud that this not so black and not so white man has gotten so far. There are many who still say "no way America will elect a black president" but I say "yes you can" He is an inspiration to me a black female from the West Indies. God bless and protect him and his family on the way to being president.

To reply to "gee" : ever heard of the one-drop rule? In America, if you've got a drop of Black blood in you, you're considered by many to be Black. I, myself, am the product of a White mother and a Black father, so I speak from experience. Even if no one had ever publicly or openly brought up the topic of race in reference to Obama, there still would have been thousands of people out there who would look at and perceive him as a Black man.

The comment of "he was a very intelligent man" was regarding his father. Also, he was not brought up in a single household. It states he lived with his mother and stepfather. I'm not saying that diminishes his accomplishments at all. I have a great respect for Barack Obama. I'm just saying, get your facts straight before you go an a rant.

Obama is an intelligent man not was. Nothing is an easy win please believe that, if that was the case than everyone would be in the Senate. What I hate about some people is that they never give respect when respect is earned. Being brought up in a single household and still finish high school and went on to Harvard Law School, please most people use the divorce of their parents as a scapegoat to up in live.

The reason Mr. Obama won the senatorial seat in Illinois was because the republications had to import a man from Maryland in order to have someone run on the ticket; therefore, it was an easy win for Obama. I too come from Chicago; vote early and often.

Isn't candidate Obama as much white as balcck? If so, why all the hooplah about a black candidate. Do not misunderstand me, I like him and will probably vote for him, but why deny his white roots?
